Qumhíhp Se (/qum/ /hɪ̞p/ [hood] [serial]) is a subtropical Town located in the Màvēvāv Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Qumhíhp Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Qumhíhp Se was founded by Goůh́a Rheon, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Qumhíhp Se has a yearly average temperature of 30°C (86°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 34°C (93°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 27°C (80°F). Qumhíhp Se receives an average of 171 cm/y (67 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Qumhíhp Se covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 4426 m (14520 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Qumhíhp Se was founded durring the late 18th century in early spring of the year 1685, by Goůh́a Rheon. The establishment of Qumhíhp Se was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Goůh́a Rheon electing to pay people to resettle in Qumhíhp Se.

Qumhíhp Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 18th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Qumhíhp Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Qumhíhp Se is is constructed arround a series of premissive baked earthen mainstreets which form concentric circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to each other at varrious points. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. Qumhíhp Se's timber-based walls are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Qumhíhp Se gives the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which Qumhíhp Se brings to mind.

Cultural Notes

Qumhíhp Se's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century several years of heavy rains culminated in a peculiar disaster. A great hole opened up beneath Qumhíhp Se, swallowing large sections of the community. Qumhíhp Se lost 158 people, 207 livestock, and 20 buildings in the disaster. This disaster is often refereed to as The Hate Swallowing.
